Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya Highlights India’s Rising Success in Global Sports

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Sunday praised India’s growing achievements in the global sports arena, crediting the country’s transformation to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the country is changing, the country is progressing, and a new India is being built,” Mandaviya said, emphasizing how India’s sporting ecosystem has seen remarkable progress in recent years.

The Minister highlighted that India’s athletes are consistently excelling on the world stage. “Today, the country is achieving success in international sports tournaments. Our players are returning as winners,” he said.

Referring to the recently concluded World Para Athletics Championship, Mandaviya lauded India’s impressive performance, noting that the nation not only hosted the event successfully but also secured 22 medals. “It was a proud moment for the nation,” he remarked.

The Minister also spoke about India’s growing Olympic success. “Today, our six Olympic winners were honoured, and the coaches who prepared them were also honoured,” he added, acknowledging the critical role of mentors and sports infrastructure in shaping the country’s champions.

Expressing optimism about India’s sporting future, Mandaviya concluded, “I am fully confident that India will perform well in the upcoming events, and a new history will be written for the country.”
