The LG directed authorities to implement tighter fire safety enforcement measures, especially in commercial hubs, high-rise buildings, markets, and crowded public spaces.
A key initiative in this direction is the Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan (PM VIKAS) scheme, under which training is being provided in emerging and industry-relevant fields
Under the new framework, the government has set up a forest control room at headquarters level and divisional control rooms at the field level, which will operate round the clock (24x7) to monitor complaints and violations.
