New Delhi: Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Tuesday said that the Delhi government is making consistent efforts to tackle air pollution in the national capital, noting that this year’s air quality has shown improvement compared to previous years.

Speaking to the media, Sirsa remarked, “We are making continuous efforts. This is a disease of the last ten years, which was handed over by the Aam Aadmi Party. This year's AQI is better compared to previous years.” He added that several new measures have been implemented to curb pollution and enhance air quality.

Highlighting the steps taken by the administration, Sirsa said, “We have installed new smog guns in all high-rise buildings in Delhi and replaced all polluting buses with e-buses. Many such steps are being taken to ensure cleaner air for the people of Delhi.”

The minister emphasized that while pollution remains a long-standing challenge, the current government’s proactive policies and technological interventions are yielding visible results.

On the upcoming MCD by-election, Sirsa expressed confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) performance. “The BJP has continuously worked to provide facilities to the people in the last eight months of its government. The BJP will definitely win the by-election too,” he asserted.

Sirsa’s statements reflect the BJP-led administration’s focus on environmental action and civic development, as well as its confidence in retaining public support in Delhi’s municipal elections.
