Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra on Sunday underlined the government’s efforts to take art and culture to the masses, saying that festivals and traditional events are no longer limited to a select few but are being celebrated widely across society.

Speaking about the recently held Teej celebrations in the national capital, Mishra noted the enthusiastic participation of women. “In Delhi, the work of art and culture has started reaching the masses. In the historic program of Teej, thousands of women were present,” he said.

He credited both Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s vision and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance for ensuring inclusivity in cultural promotion. “The Chief Minister’s vision and Prime Minister Modi’s guidance are that art and culture should not become an agenda for just a few people but should reach everyone,” Mishra added.

Shifting focus to national politics, the Delhi minister launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his recent statements. Without naming specific remarks, Mishra said, “When one’s destruction approaches, the intellect works against one’s best interest. Those whose family traditions have been against anti-national will always say such illogical things.”

Mishra alleged that the Congress party and its leadership have repeatedly taken stands that go against India’s national interest and that the public has begun to see through their intent.

His remarks highlight both the government’s cultural outreach initiatives in Delhi and the ongoing political sparring between the BJP and Congress leadership.
