New Delhi - Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar has strongly condemned the controversial remarks made by Sam Pitroda, Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress. Pitroda’s comments, which characterized people from different regions of India in terms of foreign nationalities, have sparked a heated debate.

Pitroda, who is known to be a mentor to Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, has been accused by Chandrasekhar of using divisive and racist language. “Every time he drags Rahul Gandhi to the US or Europe, Rahul Gandhi spouts venom against India and tears down Indian democracy on exactly the script given by Sam Pitroda,” Chandrasekhar said.

The Union Minister went on to criticize Pitroda’s characterization of people in East India as Chinese, people in South India as Africans, people in West India as Arabs, and people in North India as whites. He stated that such remarks deserve nothing but condemnation and reveal that the Congress is inherently focused on dividing India and Indians on caste, creed, identity, and geography.

Chandrasekhar further questioned how the Congress could distance themselves from Pitroda’s remarks simply by saying they do not agree with them. He pointed out that Pitroda has made several controversial statements in the past, including dismissing the 1984 genocide and suggesting that corruption is a way of life.

“I am a South Indian and I ask the INDI alliance Chief Ministers in South India, Siddaramaiah, Revanth Reddy, Pinarayi Vijayan, and MK Stalin to challenge Sam Pitroda and say they are not Africans but Indians,” Chandrasekhar said. He also called for Rahul Gandhi to apologize for his mentor’s words.

The controversy surrounding Pitroda’s remarks continues to unfold, with many calling for his removal from his position and an official apology from the Congress for their senior leader’s remarks.
