Union Minister Athawale Highlights Empowerment of Women at ASDC Annual Conference 2024

At the ASDC (Automotive Skill Development Council) Annual Conference 2024, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale praised the initiative aimed at empowering women and youth through skill development. Speaking at the event, Athawale noted the participation of numerous women from states such as Maharashtra and Bihar, emphasizing the program's reach and impact.

In his address, Athawale revealed that the first phase of the program is set to train 8 lakh women and a significant number of youths, providing them with essential skills to enhance their employability and economic independence. "This initiative is crucial for advancing their work and opening up new opportunities," he stated.

The minister also expressed a desire to expand the program beyond Delhi, suggesting that similar initiatives should be organized in other states to maximize their benefits. "Today's program was very successful, and we are eager to replicate this model elsewhere," he added.

Athawale assured attendees that the central government is committed to supporting the ASDC's efforts, stating, "Whatever help ASDC needs from the central government, we are ready to provide."

The conference serves as a significant platform for promoting skill development in the automotive sector, particularly focusing on empowering women and youth, and is seen as a step toward fostering inclusive growth in the industry.
