Delhi - Union Minister Anurag Thakur responded to Congress leader Sachin Pilot’s statement today, saying, “Some people daydream. He thought that his party would form the government in Rajasthan as well.”

Thakur pointed out that the Congress party has been swiped out of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and many other states. He confidently predicted that the BJP will cross the 400 mark while Congress will struggle for 40 seats.

The Union Minister also addressed the Congress party’s desire to return to ballot paper voting. “This is why Congress wants to go back to ballot paper voting. Back during those days, polling booths were looted, and ballot papers were wrongly marked,” he said.

Thakur praised the transparency brought about by the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in today’s elections. “But today, there is transparency due to EVMs,” he added.

The Union Minister’s comments come amidst a heated political climate, with both parties gearing up for the upcoming elections. His remarks have sparked a fresh debate on the efficacy of EVMs and the future of the electoral process in India.
