New Delhi - In a recent development, the Supreme Court has passed a verdict allowing Himachal Pradesh to release 137 cusecs of surplus water to Delhi. This decision has sparked a political debate in the capital city, with Delhi BJP President, Virendraa Sachdeva, accusing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of misleading the public.

“The Court has given a verdict that Himachal Pradesh will provide additional water to Delhi and not Haryana,” said Sachdeva in a press conference. “It is now clear that Delhi CM and AAP leaders were lying that Haryana government is not providing them with water.”

Sachdeva further accused the AAP of playing “dirty politics” over the water issue. “The real face of the dirty politics of AAP has now been revealed in front of the people of Delhi,” he added.

The BJP leader’s comments come in the wake of ongoing water disputes between Delhi and its neighboring states. The AAP, which is currently in power in Delhi, had previously blamed the Haryana government for the water shortage in the city.

However, the recent Supreme Court verdict seems to have turned the tables, putting the AAP under scrutiny. It remains to be seen how this development will impact the political dynamics in the capital city.
