Maharashtra - Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a public rally in Satara, Maharashtra, raised concerns about the spread of fake videos on social media platforms. He alleged that these videos are being used as a tool to create tension in society and disrupt the peaceful conduct of elections.

The Prime Minister claimed that these videos are being created using Artificial Intelligence to mimic the voices of BJP and NDA leaders, including his own voice, BJP President J.P. Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and various Chief Ministers. These videos allegedly contain statements that the leaders have never made or even thought of.

“Those people who can’t take on NDA and BJP face-to-face, they’re now spreading fake videos on social media,” Modi said. He further added, “In the voices of our party leaders, by using Artificial Intelligence, sometimes in my voice, sometimes in Amit Shah or Nadda’s voice, and sometimes in our CMs’ voices, such statements that we have never even thought of are being spread through our fake voices, they’re trying to lit fire.”

The Prime Minister warned that these videos are part of a larger conspiracy to create tension in society. He expressed his concern that the perpetrators’ intentions won’t come true if elections happen peacefully and therefore, they’re trying to do something big in the country in the coming days.

The Prime Minister urged the public to remain vigilant against such misinformation and to ensure the peaceful conduct of elections. He reassured the public that the government is taking necessary steps to address this issue.

This incident highlights the growing concern over the misuse of technology in spreading misinformation and the potential impact it can have on the democratic process. It underscores the need for stronger regulations and public awareness to combat the spread of fake news and misinformation.
