Political Paradox: Congress’ Contradictory Alliances, Claims BJP Leader Shehzad Poonawalla

Delhi - In a recent political discourse, BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla has raised questions on the contradictory alliances of the Congress party in different states. He pointed out the paradoxical situation where Congress has an alliance with Left parties in Bengal and Delhi, but is in opposition in Kerala.

Poonawalla stated, “This is a unique situation where Rahul Gandhi and his party have an alliance with Left parties in Bengal, they have friendship in Bengal, they have friendship in Delhi. But in Kerala, Rahul Gandhi abuses CM Pinarayi Vijayan and says that the Left parties are corrupt and demands action against them.”

He further added that this kind of political convenience of doing ‘kushti’ (wrestling) in Kerala with Left parties and ‘dosti’ (friendship) with Left parties in Bengal and Delhi is fooling the public and will not work.

Highlighting the contradictions within the Congress party, Poonawalla said, “Rahul Gandhi himself has today accepted that the Left parties are corrupt and dictatorial. So why does he have an alliance with them? It only goes on to show that on one hand, NDA has a mission and vision for the country…However, the INDI alliance has no mission or vision. They only have ‘apna apna’ corruption, ‘apna apna’ commission, ‘apna apna’ ambition…Therefore they are filled with confusion…”

The BJP leader’s comments have sparked a new debate on the political dynamics and the strategy of the Congress party in the country. It remains to be seen how the Congress party responds to these allegations and how it will affect their political standing in the upcoming elections.
