New Delhi, India - Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a strong case for the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in India. He stated that it is clear that having different laws for different communities is detrimental to society. “We cannot build a nation where one community progresses with the help of the constitution while other communities are unable to progress due to appeasement,” he said. He further added that the government will make relentless efforts to implement the UCC in India.

Political temperatures have reached a peak in the country as votes have been cast under the second phase of the Lok Sabha election. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposition party Congress are constantly targeting each other. Amidst this, PM Modi has given a two-way reply to the opposition’s allegations of polarization on the BJP.

PM Modi criticized the Congress for violating the constitution by introducing a law to provide reservation based on religion. “Is this not polarization?” he questioned. During an interview, PM Modi stood by his statement about former PM Manmohan Singh, who had said that Muslims have the first right over the country’s resources.

PM Modi reaffirmed BJP’s commitment to implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). He said, “It is clear that making separate laws for different communities is fatal for society. We cannot build a nation where one community progresses with the help of the constitution while other communities remain stuck in a whirlpool due to appeasement. We will make relentless efforts to implement the UCC in India.”

These developments mark a significant day in Indian politics, with leaders making strong statements and taking decisive actions. As the political landscape continues to evolve, the citizens eagerly await the outcomes of these developments.
