Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a public rally in Udhampur, made a strong statement regarding the Ram Mandir issue. He asserted that the Ram Mandir was never an election issue for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), nor will it ever become one.

“The struggle for Ram temple was going on even before the birth of the BJP,” said PM Modi, emphasizing the historical and cultural significance of the issue. He reminded the audience of the times when foreign invaders destroyed Indian temples, and how the people of India fought to save their religious places.

PM Modi also criticized the Congress and its allies, accusing them of neglecting the issue. “The leaders of Congress and its allies lived in big bungalows but when it came to changing the tent of Ram Lalla, they used to turn their backs,” he said.

The Prime Minister’s remarks come at a time when the Ram Mandir issue has been a topic of heated debate in the political arena. His statement is seen as an attempt to clarify the BJP’s stance on the issue and to separate it from electoral politics.

PM Modi’s address in Udhampur is part of his ongoing efforts to connect with the people and to address key issues of national importance. His remarks on the Ram Mandir issue are expected to resonate with a large section of the population who view the issue not just as a political matter, but as a matter of national pride and cultural identity.
