The political landscape of India has been rocked by recent allegations made by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The AAP has accused the BJP of involvement in the assault case of AAP MP Swati Maliwal, leading to a heated exchange between the two parties.

Union Minister and BJP candidate from Mumbai North Lok Sabha seat, Piyush Goyal, has dismissed these allegations outright. In a sharp retort, he questioned the seriousness of AAP’s claims, stating, “Who takes them (AAP) seriously?” He further took a dig at AAP’s leader, Arvind Kejriwal, commenting, “He came out of jail for a few days for campaigning and see what kind of things he is doing.”

Goyal’s remarks come in the wake of an escalating war of words between the BJP and AAP. The AAP has been consistently critical of the BJP, levelling various accusations against the party. However, the BJP has categorically denied these allegations, terming them as political rhetoric.

The assault case of Swati Maliwal has become a political flashpoint, with the AAP attempting to implicate the BJP. Despite this, the BJP continues to deny any involvement, with Goyal’s statement serving as the latest rebuttal from the party.
