Delhi, India - In a recent statement, India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, expressed confidence in the country’s growing global influence and its potential seat on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in the next five years.

Dr. Jaishankar emphasized that the foreign policy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, often referred to as “Modi 3.0”, will be highly successful. He stated, “It has different aspects and I am fully confident that under PM Modi’s leadership, the foreign policy of Modi 3.0 will be very successful.”

The EAM highlighted that India’s influence has been steadily growing, not just in terms of its own perception but also in the eyes of other countries. “They feel that India is truly their friend and they have seen that in times of crisis, if there is one country that stands with the Global South, it is India,” he said.

Dr. Jaishankar also pointed out that when India put forward the African Union membership during its presidency of the G20, the world showed its trust in India. This trust, he believes, is a testament to India’s increasing responsibilities on the global stage.

“We also believe that under the leadership of PM Modi, India’s identity in the world will definitely increase,” Dr. Jaishankar added, indicating a positive outlook for India’s role in international affairs.

As India continues to navigate its path on the global stage, the world watches with anticipation. The country’s potential UNSC seat and its growing influence under Modi 3.0’s foreign policy are sure to shape the dynamics of international relations in the coming years.
