New Delhi - In a significant development that underscores India’s growing stature in the global electronics market, BJP National President JP Nadda announced that India has risen to the second position in mobile production.

Speaking at a public meeting in North West Delhi, Nadda said, “10 years ago it used to be written ‘Made in China’, ‘Made in Korea’, ‘Made in Japan’ on mobile phones, but today it’s written ‘Made in India’ on them.”

The statement comes as a testament to the country’s rapid strides in the manufacturing sector, particularly in electronics. Over the past decade, India has made significant progress in becoming a global hub for mobile production, with several major international brands setting up their manufacturing units in the country.

Nadda’s comments highlight the success of the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, which aims to transform India into a global design and manufacturing hub. The initiative has been instrumental in attracting foreign investment and creating job opportunities in the country.

The rise in domestic production has also led to a significant reduction in the import of electronic goods, thereby helping to narrow the country’s trade deficit.

While the journey to the top has been challenging, the achievement is a clear indication of India’s potential in the global electronics market. As the country continues to make progress, it is poised to play an even more significant role in the global supply chain in the coming years.

The news is expected to boost the morale of the Indian electronics industry and is seen as a validation of the government’s policies aimed at promoting domestic manufacturing.

As India continues to rise in the global electronics market, the ‘Made in India’ tag on mobile phones is not just a mark of origin, but a badge of pride for the nation.
