Delhi Water Crisis: BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri Criticizes CM Kejriwal's Promises

In a recent statement addressing the ongoing water crisis in Delhi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri expressed strong criticism of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's handling of the issue. Bidhuri, who formerly served as the Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Vidhan Sabha, accused Kejriwal of failing to deliver on his promises regarding the availability of drinking water in the capital city.

During his tenure as the Leader of Opposition, Bidhuri claimed to have raised the issue of water scarcity numerous times in the Delhi Legislative Assembly. He highlighted Kejriwal's pledge to provide 24/7 drinking water to the residents of Delhi, both within and outside the assembly sessions. However, according to Bidhuri, these commitments remain unfulfilled.

In a statement to the press, Bidhuri said, "CM Arvind Kejriwal promised 24/7 drinking water for the people of Delhi and he even shared his strategies- both inside as well as outside the assembly... He did not fulfil his commitments."

Asserting the BJP's stance on the matter, Bidhuri emphasized that the upcoming Delhi Vidhan Sabha elections would be pivotal in addressing the water crisis effectively. He expressed confidence that the electorate would grant a full majority to the BJP, enabling them to implement substantial measures to resolve the longstanding water issues in Delhi.

Bidhuri further articulated his vision for the capital city, envisioning Delhi's transformation into a world-class metropolis once the water crisis is adequately addressed. He underscored the BJP's commitment to prioritizing essential services such as water supply and pledged to work towards ensuring a sustainable and reliable water infrastructure for Delhi's residents.

The criticism from Ramvir Singh Bidhuri comes amidst growing concerns over the availability and management of water resources in Delhi, especially during the summer months when demand typically peaks. With the Delhi Vidhan Sabha elections on the horizon, the issue of water scarcity is expected to feature prominently in political discourse as parties vie for public support.

CM Arvind Kejriwal's office has yet to issue a response to Bidhuri's remarks, but the debate over water management and infrastructure development is likely to intensify in the lead-up to the elections as parties present their respective plans and promises to the electorate.
