Delhi Water Crisis: BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj Accuses AAP of Negligence

New Delhi - Amid the ongoing water shortage in Delhi, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj has accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of negligence and collusion with the illegal tanker mafia.

In a recent statement, Swaraj said, “The Supreme Court came down heavily on the AAP for making false statements in court. Haryana is releasing the adequate amount of water. It is only the AAP that is not paying attention to the desiccating infrastructure of the Delhi Jal Board.”

Swaraj further criticized the AAP for their decade-long rule in Delhi, during which they allegedly failed to improve the city’s water infrastructure. “They have been in power in Delhi for now a decade and they have not paid attention at all to fixing the pipelines or improving the infrastructure,” she said.

The BJP MP also suggested that the AAP might be in cahoots with the illegal tanker mafia operating in Delhi. “It appears that the AAP is in cahoots with the illegal tanker mafia that is operating in Delhi and the Supreme Court even asked them what is it that they are doing on it,” she added.

According to Swaraj, the AAP returned empty-handed from the Supreme Court. “The Supreme Court said that AAP has once again suppressed the fact that they had already approached the Yamuna Jal Board and therefore the Supreme Court asked them to go and agitate their petition before 5 PM today before the Yamuna Jal Board,” she concluded.

The allegations come at a time when Delhi is grappling with a severe water crisis. The AAP has yet to respond to these allegations.
