New Delhi - BJP leader and candidate from New Delhi constituency, Bansuri Swaraj, has accused the AAP government of being responsible for the acute water crisis in Delhi. Amid the scorching heat, the city is grappling with water shortages, which Swaraj claims is a deliberate act by the AAP government to promote the ‘tanker mafia’ and fill their own pockets with corruption money.

“The water crisis is being artificially created in Delhi so that people of Delhi take the support of water tankers and depend on the ‘tanker mafia’,” Swaraj said. She further alleged that the AAP government’s actions have led to the Delhi Jal Board incurring losses of Rs 73,000 Crores over their decade-long rule, a stark contrast to the profit of Rs 600 Crores it was making in 2013.

Swaraj held the AAP and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accountable for the situation, demanding answers for the alleged mismanagement and corruption. “AAP and CM Arvind Kejriwal are answerable for this,” she stated.

The allegations come at a time when Delhiites are struggling with water scarcity, with many areas in the city receiving irregular and inadequate water supply. The issue has sparked outrage among residents, leading to protests in several parts of the city.

The AAP government has yet to respond to these allegations. As the water crisis continues to escalate, the citizens of Delhi are left waiting for a solution to their woes.
