Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Highlights ₹12 Crore Scholarships and Welfare Schemes for Labourers

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed satisfaction over the implementation of various welfare schemes aimed at supporting the working class and labour community in the capital. She stated that it is a matter of great joy to witness positive outcomes from the initiatives introduced by the Labour Department this year.

Addressing the media, CM Gupta remarked that during previous governments, the working class often faced neglect and their needs were overlooked. However, she emphasized that the current administration has taken significant steps to prioritize their welfare through targeted schemes and effective implementation.

Highlighting a major achievement, the Chief Minister announced that scholarships worth ₹12 crore have been provided to 15,700 children of labourers as part of educational assistance programs. She described the initiative as a meaningful step toward securing the future of workers’ families by supporting their children’s education.

In addition to educational aid, CM Gupta underscored the importance of improved healthcare facilities and the establishment of Atal Canteens, which provide affordable meals to workers. She said these schemes are crucial for labourers who contribute tirelessly to strengthening Delhi’s infrastructure and economy.

The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring dignity, financial security, and better living conditions for labourers across the city. She affirmed that the administration will continue to introduce and expand welfare initiatives aimed at uplifting the working class.
