Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament and the party's national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi has issued a scathing rebuke against opposition parties, accusing them of attacking democracy. Trivedi's remarks come in the wake of escalating political tensions and rhetoric surrounding the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

"First the opposition parties used abusive words against PM Modi, BJP & our governance - we accepted it. But when you attack democracy...we would not accept it," Trivedi asserted, signaling a firm stance against what he perceives as threats to democratic norms and institutions.

Trivedi went on to delineate the divergent approaches adopted by the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the opposition, emphasizing a contrast between trust and fear-based narratives. "We BJP-NDA alliance had one formula - trust based on growth and development. While the opposition had one formula - fear based on illusion," he stated, underscoring the ideological divide between the ruling coalition and its adversaries.

The BJP spokesperson's remarks reflect the party's narrative strategy of projecting itself as a champion of democratic principles and governance, while simultaneously portraying the opposition as purveyors of fear and misinformation.

The ongoing Lok Sabha elections have witnessed a flurry of verbal sparring and political jousting, with parties seeking to sway voter sentiment through emotive appeals and ideological positioning. Trivedi's comments add fuel to the already charged political atmosphere, further heightening the sense of polarization and confrontation between rival factions.

As the electoral process reaches its climax and the nation awaits the official declaration of results, the rhetoric and discourse surrounding the elections continue to shape public perceptions and political dynamics. With stakes running high on all sides, the outcome of the elections is poised to have profound implications for the future trajectory of Indian democracy.
