NEW DELHI - As the nation eagerly awaits the final election results on June 4th, following the exit polls on June 1st, the verdict in the Northeast states of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim is already clear. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made a resounding comeback in Arunachal Pradesh, demonstrating the trust and confidence the people of the Northeast have in the party.

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said, “Even though there was a lot of propaganda done by the INDI alliance and Congress, it shows the confidence the people of Northeast bestow upon BJP.” He further added that the Congress party must introspect on its position and strategy.

The BJP’s victory in Arunachal Pradesh is not an isolated incident. Other Northeast states, including Nagaland, Assam, Tripura, and Meghalaya, have also shown a similar trend, with the Congress party being virtually banished.

Poonawalla’s comments come at a time when the political landscape of the country is undergoing significant changes. The results of the exit polls and the subsequent election results are being closely watched by political analysts and the public alike.

The BJP’s success in the Northeast states is seen as a testament to the party’s growing influence and acceptance among the people, despite the challenges and opposition it faced.

As the country braces for the final election results, the BJP’s performance in the Northeast states sets a precedent and sends a strong message to its political rivals. It remains to be seen how this will shape the political dynamics of the country in the days to come.
