Delhi - In the wake of the recent attack on officials of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Medinipur, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla has expressed his concerns about the state of law and order in West Bengal.

“It’s very sad to see that the TMC has become, ‘Terror, Mafia, Corruption’ under Mamata Banerjee government,” said Poonawalla. He further added that the law and order situation in Bengal deteriorates every day under the current TMC government.

Poonawalla criticized the environment of fear in West Bengal, stating that even officials from central agencies aren’t safe. He questioned the safety of the common people, symbolically referred to as ‘Maa Maati & Maanush’ in Bengal, in such a scenario.

“Today what we have witnessed is nothing less than Sandeshkhali 2.0,” Poonawalla added, drawing parallels with previous incidents of violence in the state.

The BJP spokesperson’s comments have sparked a new wave of political discourse, with the BJP and TMC set to face off in the upcoming elections. The citizens of West Bengal, and indeed the entire nation, are keenly observing these developments.
