Delhi, India - The political landscape in India is heating up as BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla accuses the Congress party of anti-Hindu sentiment. This comes in response to Congress candidate from Raebareli, Rahul Gandhi’s remark, calling Prime Minister Modi’s underwater prayers in Dwarka a ‘drama’.

Poonawalla stated, “The anti-Hindu face of the Congress has been exposed. On one hand, the PM, a Krishna devotee, goes to Dwarka and offers prayers under the sea. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi mocks it and calls it a drama.”

He further criticized the Congress party for creating a rift between Ram and Shiva devotees, referring to recent comments made by Congress leader Kharge. Poonawalla also highlighted statements like ‘Sanatan is a disease’, attributing them to the Congress and its allies.

“After opposing PM Modi, the Congress is now opposing Lord Krishna,” Poonawalla added, questioning the silence of leaders who identify themselves as ‘Yaduvanshi’, such as Akhilesh Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav.

Poonawalla went on to compare the Congress party’s manifesto and actions to those of the Muslim League, stating, “They (Congress) have not just come out with a Muslim League manifesto, but their manifestation is also like the Muslim League. The anti-Hindu hatred in their manifestation is now obvious.”

These remarks have added fuel to the ongoing political discourse in the country, with parties gearing up for the upcoming elections. The impact of these statements on the voter sentiment remains to be seen.
