New Delhi, India - Bansuri Swaraj, a vocal Member of Parliament representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has launched a scathing critique against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, alleging that he is attempting to mislead the public and shirk accountability amidst mounting legal controversies.

Swaraj's comments come in the wake of recent legal developments surrounding Kejriwal, particularly his interim bail granted by the Supreme Court, which she attributed to a technical legal issue referred to a larger bench.

"Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has been granted interim bail only because one point of law has been referred to the larger bench," Swaraj asserted, highlighting the procedural aspect of the court's decision.

She further pointed to a recent chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which implicates Kejriwal as the central figure in an alleged excise policy scam. "A few days ago, ED presented a detailed chargesheet in court, identifying Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal as the mastermind behind the excise policy scam," Swaraj stated, underscoring the gravity of the accusations against the AAP leader.

Swaraj also criticized Kejriwal's reluctance to heed the Supreme Court's apparent directive that constitutional functionaries involved in such crimes should resign from their posts. "Today, the Supreme Court has indicated that whenever a constitutional functionary is involved in such a crime, he has to resign from his post," she emphasized, accusing Kejriwal of obstinacy in the face of legal scrutiny.

"Arvind Kejriwal is trying to misguide everyone. He is not ready to resign. His stubbornness is creating a policy paralysis and constitutional crisis in Delhi," Swaraj added, portraying Kejriwal's stance as detrimental to effective governance and public trust.

The BJP MP's remarks underscore the escalating political tensions and legal battles surrounding Kejriwal's administration in Delhi. They also reflect BJP's continued scrutiny of AAP's governance and accountability, particularly in light of serious allegations and legal challenges.

As the legal proceedings and political discourse continue to unfold, stakeholders across Delhi and beyond are closely monitoring developments that could impact public perception and electoral dynamics in the capital city.
