BJP Leader Calls Out Delhi Government Over Ghazipur Landfill Fire Crisis

  • April 22, 2024, 3:53 p.m.

Delhi - A massive fire that broke out at the Ghazipur landfill site has been burning since yesterday afternoon, according to BJP leader RP Singh. The situation, he says, is terrible and indicative of the Delhi government’s failure.

“This is a huge fire. The Delhi government has failed,” Singh said, expressing his concern over the situation. He criticized the government for its alleged corruption and internal conflicts, which he believes are hindering the resolution of the issue.

The Delhi government had previously claimed that it would clear the landfill by December 2023. However, Singh accuses them of making “fake promises to win the elections” and then escaping from the problems.

“They don’t care about Delhi,” Singh added, expressing his disappointment with the government’s handling of the situation. He further accused the government of being more interested in internal politics than in addressing the city’s issues.

The Ghazipur landfill fire has been a cause of concern for the city’s residents, posing serious environmental and health risks. The current situation underscores the need for effective waste management strategies and swift action from the government.

The Delhi government has yet to respond to Singh’s accusations. As the fire continues to burn, the city waits for effective action and a long-term solution to the landfill issue.
