Delhi, India - The recent ‘obscene videos’ case involving JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna has stirred up a political storm in the country. BJP candidate from Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha seat, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, has voiced his concerns over the incident and questioned the Congress party’s stand on crimes against women.

“We have zero tolerance towards any crime against women,” Chandrasekhar stated firmly. He pointed out that the JD(S) has already taken steps and suspended Revanna, but raised questions about the delay in action by the Karnataka government.

“If the Karnataka government had this evidence with them for so many months, why were they not doing anything?” Chandrasekhar asked, highlighting the need for prompt action in such sensitive cases.

Chandrasekhar also criticized the Congress party for what he perceives as their double standards when it comes to crime against women. He questioned why the issue of Sandeshkhali is not being condemned by the Congress party.

“Why is that Congress party selectively and politically chooses crime and criminals to either support or condemn?” Chandrasekhar questioned, expressing his concern over the politicization of crimes.

The BJP candidate’s comments have sparked a debate on the need for political parties to have a clear and consistent stand on crimes against women. As the country awaits a response from the Congress party, it remains to be seen how this incident will impact the political landscape in the upcoming elections.
