Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has made startling accusations against Karnataka Chief Minister, alleging significant financial irregularities and demanding a thorough investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Addressing the media in Delhi, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi accused the Karnataka government of misusing funds allocated for SC/ST welfare, citing a scam amounting to Rs 189 crores. "Rs 189 crores were supposed to be transferred for SC/ST welfare, but only Rs 89 crores were initially transferred. This is a major scam," Mr. Joshi declared, highlighting the alleged misuse of public funds.

Mr. Joshi further disclosed that an Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to investigate the matter, but no action was taken against the ministers involved who resigned under public pressure. "When the Enforcement Directorate (ED) intervened, an FIR was filed against them," he added, indicating a complex legal entanglement surrounding the case.

Drawing attention to additional allegations, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi implicated the Karnataka CM in the Valmiki Board scam, alleging complicity in the fraudulent allocation of funds meant for SC/ST community welfare. "There is involvement of the CM in the Valmiki Board scam," Mr. Joshi asserted, pointing to a broader pattern of financial mismanagement.

Moreover, Mr. Joshi brought up the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam, alleging that the CM's wife had been allotted 14 prime sites worth crores of rupees. He claimed discrepancies in the value declarations of these assets over the years, raising suspicions of undisclosed wealth accumulation.

"In 2013, the CM did not declare the land in his affidavit. By 2018, its value was reported as Rs 25 lakhs, but suddenly in 2023, it skyrocketed to Rs 25 crores," Mr. Joshi stated, emphasizing inconsistencies in asset declarations that warrant further scrutiny.

Concluding his address, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi demanded the immediate resignation of the Karnataka CM and insisted on transferring the entire case to the CBI for an impartial investigation into the alleged financial misconduct and corruption.

The allegations leveled by Mr. Joshi have sparked intense debate and scrutiny, underscoring the need for accountability and transparency in public office.
