Delhi: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has leveled serious allegations against the Chief Minister of Karnataka, accusing him of direct involvement in corruption scandals within the Congress-led state government. Joshi’s remarks, made during a press conference in Delhi, center on two major scams: the MUDA (Mysuru Urban Development Authority) scam and the Valmiki scam.

Joshi claimed that the Karnataka Chief Minister is a beneficiary of the MUDA scam, which allegedly involves misappropriation of funds and irregularities in urban development projects. He further accused the state government of corruption in the Valmiki scam, though details of this specific scandal were not elaborated upon.

“The Chief Minister of Karnataka is directly involved in scams of the Congress government in Karnataka,” Joshi asserted. He accused the Congress party of attempting to shield its corrupt officials, alleging that there is a significant share of responsibility for these scandals among the Congress high command.

Joshi criticized the Congress party for allegedly obstructing discussions on these issues in both houses of Parliament. “BJP MPs raised these issues in both houses of parliament. The Congress party wants to safeguard the corrupt Congress government... They didn't allow BJP MPs to speak in the parliament,” Joshi said, accusing the Congress of stifling debate and preventing scrutiny.

The Union Minister’s call for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the allegations reflects the BJP’s ongoing efforts to address corruption concerns within the state government. “We demand a CBI probe into the matter,” Joshi concluded, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation into the alleged irregularities.

The accusations come at a time when political tensions are high, with the BJP and Congress engaged in a heated battle over governance and corruption issues. The call for a CBI investigation highlights the BJP’s strategy to target and challenge Congress leadership on corruption-related matters.
