Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the Motion of Thanks in the Rajya Sabha, launched a scathing critique against the Congress party, accusing it of promoting what he termed as 'Save the Corrupt Andolan'. Modi asserted that Congress's focus on shielding corruption was obstructing India's progress and development.

In his address, Modi declared, "Congress is only interested in 'Save the Corrupt Andolan'. They are not interested in India's development and possess no vision for the same." He further admonished the Congress party, urging its leaders to introspect on their alleged corrupt practices before casting aspersions on others.

Highlighting what he portrayed as Congress's misuse of agencies for political ends, Modi underscored the necessity for ethical governance and accountability in public service. His remarks underscored a persistent theme of the BJP's narrative against the opposition, portraying itself as the vanguard of integrity and governance reform.

The Prime Minister's comments come amid a charged political atmosphere as parties gear up for upcoming state and national elections. The accusation against Congress aligns with the BJP's broader strategy of contrasting its own governance record with that of its rivals, particularly on issues of corruption and development.

The Motion of Thanks in the Rajya Sabha serves as a platform for the government to outline its achievements and respond to opposition critiques. Modi's speech not only reinforced BJP's campaign rhetoric but also set the stage for intensified political debate in the parliamentary sessions ahead.

As political temperatures rise ahead of the electoral cycle, Modi's condemnation of Congress's alleged corruption practices is likely to fuel further debate and scrutiny in both legislative chambers and public discourse. The upcoming sessions are expected to witness robust exchanges as parties vie to position themselves favorably among the electorate.
