Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde Highlights Key Issues at NITI Aayog Meeting: Focus on ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has underscored the significance of the upcoming NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which is set to focus on the theme ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’. Speaking ahead of the meeting, Shinde emphasized that discussions would not only center on the national vision but also address specific developmental needs of Maharashtra.

Shinde noted that the meeting will address comprehensive development strategies for Maharashtra, including critical discussions on central and state cooperation. "Today's meeting under Prime Minister Modi's leadership will cover the theme ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’, which envisions making India a developed nation by 2047. We will also focus on Maharashtra’s development priorities and the role of the Central Government in facilitating progress," Shinde said.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the state's budget includes several schemes aimed at benefiting various segments of society, including farmers, women, youth, and senior citizens. "Our budget has introduced numerous schemes designed to uplift all classes of people. These initiatives will support education, enhance opportunities for the youth, and provide for farmers and senior citizens," Shinde added.

The NITI Aayog meeting will serve as a platform for discussing and aligning developmental strategies between the central and state governments. It aims to foster collaborative efforts towards achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047, with a focus on inclusive growth and addressing regional needs.

Shinde’s comments reflect a commitment to ensuring that Maharashtra’s development agenda aligns with national goals while addressing specific local challenges and opportunities. The discussions are expected to drive forward the implementation of key initiatives and enhance cooperative efforts between the central and state governments.
