HM Amit Shah Clarifies Implementation of New Criminal Laws with First Cases in Gwalior and Delhi

New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah has provided clarity on the implementation of new criminal laws, highlighting the first cases registered under these reforms in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi. The Home Minister emphasized that these measures aim to enhance legal frameworks and improve public safety.

Speaking on the new criminal laws, Minister Shah stated, "The first case under the new laws was registered at a police station in Gwalior. It involved a theft case where a motorcycle was stolen, and the registration occurred at 12:10 am." This instance in Gwalior marked an early application of the updated legal provisions, demonstrating the government's commitment to swift action against criminal activities.

Addressing another case in Delhi, Minister Shah clarified, "Regarding the case against a vendor registered at a police station in Delhi, it's important to note that similar provisions existed previously and were not introduced under the new laws. Police reviewed the situation and subsequently dismissed the case."

The Home Minister's remarks underscored the proactive approach of law enforcement agencies in implementing and adapting to revised legal statutes aimed at strengthening justice delivery and protecting public interests.
