Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday announced the launch of India’s first hotline maintenance van, a breakthrough initiative to ensure uninterrupted power supply during maintenance work.

Highlighting the significance of the innovation, CM Gupta said, “For the first time in India, a hotline maintenance van has been inaugurated. This van will be able to carry out maintenance work even when the power supply is on. There will be no need to stop the supply of any kind of power supply. With an uninterrupted power supply, any damaged line will be maintained through this machine.”

The new technology allows power lines to be repaired without cutting off electricity, ensuring seamless service to consumers. The Chief Minister congratulated the Delhi Power Minister and the Power Ministry for introducing the advanced machine to the capital.

Gupta also revealed plans to expand the fleet of hotline maintenance vans across the city, enabling faster and disturbance-free maintenance of power infrastructure in the future.

This initiative is expected to significantly improve Delhi’s power reliability, reduce outages, and set a precedent for other states to adopt similar technology-driven solutions.
