New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of Delhi has been remanded to judicial custody until July 12th in connection with a CBI case pertaining to the excise policy. The decision was pronounced following a thorough examination of evidence by the court.

Reacting to the development, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva commented, "The court's decision reflects its consideration of the evidence presented. Central agencies are executing their responsibilities. If there has been wrongdoing, accountability must be upheld."

The judicial custody order comes amidst ongoing scrutiny of the excise policy matter, highlighting the judicial process's impartiality and adherence to legal procedures.

In a separate statement addressing the waterlogging issue in Delhi, Sachdeva criticized the AAP government's handling of drainage maintenance, alleging negligence and corruption. "Many drains in Delhi remain uncleared, indicative of administrative lapses and corruption. The people of Delhi demand effective solutions from the AAP government," he asserted.

The remarks underscored ongoing political tensions surrounding governance issues in the capital, focusing on accountability and service delivery to citizens amidst critical challenges such as monsoon-induced waterlogging.

As the judicial proceedings continue, the case against Chief Minister Kejriwal underscores the importance of transparency and accountability in public office, resonating with broader concerns about governance and administrative efficacy in the national capital.
