Delhi BJP President Accuses AAP Government Amid Water Crisis and Flood Concerns

  • July 5, 2024, 9:53 p.m.

Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva has made serious allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi. In a press conference, Sachdeva stated that water meant for the city was being stolen with the Delhi government’s permission. He further accused the Delhi Jal Board, its officers, chairman, and the Delhi government of being responsible for the ongoing water crisis.

As the monsoon season approaches, Sachdeva also raised concerns about potential flooding. According to him, the drains in Delhi have not been adequately cleaned, which could exacerbate flood situations in the coming days.

Sachdeva’s remarks come amidst a political slugfest over the water crisis, with the Delhi and Haryana governments at odds over water release. While the Lt Governor of Delhi has criticized the AAP government’s management, PWD Minister Atishi has blamed Haryana for withholding water from the national capital.

The situation remains tense, and citizens are closely watching developments as the city grapples with water scarcity and the looming threat of floods.
