BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad called on the Congress party to take a more proactive role in addressing the ongoing challenges in Manipur. Speaking at a press conference, Prasad emphasized the need for unity in this sensitive region, stating, "The Congress party needs to come out beyond Manipur. It is a sensitive area, and all of us need to work together."

Prasad accused the Congress of exacerbating tensions in Manipur, urging the party to "stop stoking fire in the cauldron of Manipur." He further questioned the opposition's stance on crucial national issues, asking, "Do they support the stand of the Prime Minister as far as unity against terrorism is concerned?" He noted the Congress party's "conspicuous silence" on matters of national security and unity.

The BJP MP also highlighted the importance of clarity regarding Article 370, which grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir, and called for the Congress to articulate its position on terrorism. "They need to clear their stand on Article 370 and terrorism," he said, stressing that the situation in Manipur requires a unified approach from all political parties.

Prasad concluded by stating that efforts are underway to improve conditions in Manipur, emphasizing the BJP's commitment to peace and stability in the region. His comments reflect the BJP's ongoing strategy to position itself as the party of stability and national security while challenging the Congress to take a definitive stance on key issues. As political tensions simmer, the call for cooperation underscores the urgency of finding common ground for the welfare of the people in Manipur.
