New Delhi: BJP MLA Vijender Gupta has intensified criticism against the Delhi Government, accusing it of escalating electricity prices under the guise of the Power Purchase Adjustment Charge (PPAC). He has formally submitted a memorandum to the Delhi Assembly Speaker, urging the convening of a special session to address pressing issues including waterlogging and water scarcity affecting residents.

Gupta's statements highlight growing discontent among Delhiites over utility costs and infrastructure challenges. "A memorandum has been submitted to the Delhi Assembly Speaker demanding a special Assembly session to discuss the Delhi Government's decision to increase electricity prices through PPAC," Gupta declared, emphasizing the financial strain on citizens.

The call for a special session underscores BJP's proactive stance in advocating for public interests and holding the Delhi Government accountable for its policies impacting residents' daily lives. Gupta articulated concerns over the detrimental effects of waterlogging during monsoon seasons and a perceived scarcity of drinking water in parts of the city.

"The people of Delhi are suffering due to waterlogging and a shortage of drinking water," Gupta asserted, highlighting the urgency of addressing these critical issues through legislative discourse and policy intervention.

The memorandum submitted by Gupta reflects BJP's strategy to mobilize legislative action and seek solutions to alleviate public hardships. As discussions unfold in the assembly, stakeholders await comprehensive measures and responses from the Delhi Government to mitigate the challenges outlined by Gupta and other legislators.

With public dissatisfaction mounting over utility costs and infrastructure management, the political landscape in Delhi remains charged as parties navigate public sentiment and advocate for meaningful reforms to enhance quality of life for residents.
