BJP MLA Ajay Mahawar has criticized the Delhi Government for allegedly burdening the public with increased electricity costs through the Power Purchase Adjustment Charge (PPAC). He has called for a special assembly session to address rising electricity rates, waterlogging issues, and other public concerns.

In a statement to the press, Mahawar expressed concern over what he described as the Delhi Government's imposition of additional financial burdens on the public through the PPAC mechanism. "The Delhi Government has put the burden of excess electricity costs on the public's money through PPAC," Mahawar asserted, highlighting the impact on residents already grappling with economic challenges.

Mahawar's remarks come amid escalating discontent over utility costs and infrastructure challenges affecting Delhiites. He emphasized the urgency of convening a special assembly session to discuss these pressing issues comprehensively.

"We have called for a special assembly session to hold a discussion on the increasing electricity rates, waterlogging, and other issues related to the public of Delhi," Mahawar stated, underscoring the BJP's proactive stance in addressing citizens' grievances.

Furthermore, Mahawar criticized the current governance situation in Delhi, alluding to the imprisonment of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. "The Chief Minister of Delhi is in jail and he is not able to run the government," Mahawar remarked, pointing out the administrative challenges arising from the absence of the elected head of the state government.

The call for a special assembly session reflects BJP's strategy to highlight governance failures and advocate for policy changes aimed at alleviating public hardships. As discussions unfold, stakeholders await concrete actions and responses from the Delhi Government to address the multifaceted concerns raised by Mahawar and other legislators.

With public dissatisfaction simmering over issues such as electricity tariffs and infrastructure management, the political landscape in Delhi remains charged as parties position themselves ahead of upcoming deliberations and potential policy shifts.
