Shazia Ilmi, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has delivered scathing criticism against the opposition parties for their handling of recent electoral defeats, accusing them of reluctance to accept election outcomes gracefully. Ilmi's remarks come amidst ongoing debates surrounding electoral integrity and political narratives in the aftermath of recent election results.

Speaking in Delhi, Ilmi highlighted the BJP's commitment to acknowledging electoral defeats without recourse to blaming electoral machinery or institutions. "Wherever we (BJP) have been defeated, we accepted our defeat. We have not blamed EVM or ECI for that," she asserted, contrasting the BJP's response with what she characterized as the opposition's refusal to come to terms with electoral realities.

"The opposition is not able to accept their defeat till now," Ilmi charged, alleging that their persistent allegations and narratives are increasingly being discredited. She referred to recent events such as 'Samvidhan Hatya Diwas' (Constitution Murder Day), a term coined by some opposition parties, as indicative of what she labeled as the Congress party's role in undermining constitutional values.

Ilmi further criticized the opposition's policies, specifically targeting what she referred to as the 'Khatakhat Scheme' and questioning its efficacy. "Their 'Khatakhat Scheme' is now being exposed," she declared, implying that these schemes have not delivered as promised, prompting scrutiny from their own supporters.

Amidst accusations of perpetuating a 'fake narrative,' Ilmi emphasized the need for accountability and transparency in governance, calling attention to discrepancies between political rhetoric and actual achievements in states governed by opposition parties. "Their people are asking them why they haven't brought these schemes to the states where their party has formed the government," she stated, highlighting alleged inconsistencies in policy implementation.

Ilmi's remarks underscored a robust defense of the BJP's electoral conduct and governance record, positioning the party as steadfast in its commitment to democratic norms and electoral integrity. Her critique of the opposition's response to electoral defeats signals ongoing tensions and ideological confrontations within India's political landscape, as parties prepare for future electoral battles amidst heightened scrutiny and public discourse.
