BJP Leader Ravi Shankar Prasad Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Insulting India During Foreign Visits

BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad has launched a scathing critique of Rahul Gandhi, accusing the Congress leader of undermining the country’s reputation during his trips abroad. In a statement today, Prasad claimed that Gandhi has consistently insulted India and shown support for anti-India elements during his overseas visits.

Prasad’s comments come in the wake of recent controversies surrounding Gandhi’s statements made outside India, which have reportedly been endorsed by the group Sikhs for Justice. Prasad condemned this support and criticized Gandhi's role as the leader of the opposition, asserting that such actions are both irresponsible and damaging.

“Whenever Rahul Gandhi goes abroad, he always insults the country and supports anti-India elements,” Prasad said. “The fact that Sikhs for Justice has supported his statements further underscores the gravity of the situation. As the leader of the opposition, Gandhi’s statements are expected to reflect a responsible and constructive approach, but what we are witnessing is quite the opposite.”

The BJP leader’s remarks reflect ongoing tensions between the ruling party and opposition figures, highlighting the political friction over national and international issues. The BJP has frequently criticized Gandhi’s foreign engagements, accusing him of making disparaging remarks that, according to the party, harm India’s image on the global stage.

In response, Congress spokespersons have defended Gandhi, arguing that his criticisms are aimed at addressing genuine concerns about governance and human rights, and are not intended to undermine the country’s global standing.

The exchange between Prasad and Gandhi adds another layer to the ongoing political discourse in India, illustrating the sharp divisions and heated debates surrounding the country’s international relations and internal politics.
