Union Minister Giriraj Singh Responds to Opposition’s Allegations on CAA

In a recent development, Union Minister Giriraj Singh has responded to the opposition’s allegations that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is creating a new vote bank through the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Singh expressed his disappointment at the opposition’s stance and defended the BJP’s actions.

“I am saddened at the thinking of the opposition parties,” Singh said, addressing the media. He further criticized Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his remarks about the Hindu community. “Arvind Kejriwal is abusing the Hindus, but he never speaks when Hindu daughters are abducted during their marriage ceremony in Pakistan,” Singh added.

Singh’s comments come in the wake of increasing tensions between the BJP and the opposition over the controversial CAA. The Act, which grants citizenship to persecuted minorities from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, has been criticized for excluding Muslims.

The Union Minister questioned the silence of the opposition on the plight of Hindus in Pakistan. “Where will the persecuted Hindus go?” he asked, highlighting the need for a safe haven for these individuals.

Singh also accused Kejriwal of maintaining silence on the issue of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis. “He never speaks about Rohingyas and Bangladeshis as they are his vote bank,” Singh alleged, implying that the Delhi Chief Minister was prioritizing politics over the welfare of the people.

The BJP has consistently defended the CAA, stating that it is a humanitarian act aimed at providing refuge to persecuted minorities. However, the opposition argues that the Act is discriminatory and violates the secular principles of the Indian Constitution.

As the debate continues, it remains to be seen how the BJP and the opposition will navigate the contentious issue of the CAA. The comments from Singh indicate that the BJP is prepared to defend its stance, even as the opposition continues to challenge the Act.
