BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla has termed the extradition of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks accused Tahawwur Rana as a significant win for India’s national security framework. Calling Rana a key conspirator, Poonawalla said the move reflects the strength and determination of "New India".

“This is not just an extradition; it is the resolve of the new India that we will not remain silent on terror attacks but will give a befitting reply,” he stated. Poonawalla lauded the efforts of India’s security, counter-terrorism, prosecution, and intelligence agencies, calling it a “major victory” for their relentless pursuit of justice.

He emphasized that India will neither forgive nor forget acts of terror, and that the extradition is a crucial step not just for Indian victims, but also for citizens from 17 to 18 countries who were affected during the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

The development marks a strong statement in India's global fight against terrorism and reinforces its zero-tolerance stance on such threats.
