Businessman Robert Vadra has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Shikohpur land scam case, allegedly involving irregular land deals in Haryana during the previous Congress regime.

Reacting strongly to the development, BJP spokesperson and lawyer Gaurav Bhatia accused Vadra of exploiting political power for personal gain. “Land mafia Robert Vadra was summoned for interrogation by the Enforcement Directorate. This is related to the land scam that happened in Haryana when the Congress was in power. It is known as the Shikohpur land scam, where within 24 hours, misusing the powers of the Chief Minister, a license was given to a company controlled and owned by Robert Vadra,” Bhatia said.

He further added, “Today, when he was summoned for interrogation, it says a lot about the power of rule of law and a strong message has been sent out that nobody is above the law of the country — especially not the fake Gandhi family, which is the most corrupt family in the world.”

The ED's investigation focuses on alleged irregularities in land deals and licenses granted during the tenure of the Congress-led Haryana government. Vadra has consistently denied any wrongdoing and claims the cases are politically motivated.

The case continues to be a point of intense political contention, with the BJP citing it as evidence of systemic corruption under previous governments, while Congress accuses the ruling party of using investigative agencies for political vendetta.
