Rahul Gandhi Should Resign as LoP, Says Manjinder Singh Sirsa Over Jaitley Remark

Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has strongly condemned Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's recent statement in Parliament alleging that former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had threatened him over farm laws. Sirsa called Gandhi’s comments “irresponsible” and “unbecoming” of someone holding a key constitutional position.

"This clearly shows that Rahul Gandhi is not fit to hold such a significant constitutional position as the Leader of Opposition," Sirsa said while addressing media on Monday.

Referring to Gandhi’s controversial claim that the Congress has evidence against the Election Commission, Sirsa said, "Rahul Gandhi has no respect for constitutional institutions. Such statements directly attack the credibility of democratic systems."

Demanding accountability, Sirsa added, "Rahul Gandhi should resign from the post of Leader of the Opposition. His behaviour is reckless and damages the dignity of our democratic framework."

Rahul Gandhi’s remarks during his speech in the Lok Sabha have drawn strong reactions from the BJP and its allies, who accuse him of undermining the credibility of institutions and politicizing sensitive national matters.
