PM Modi Criticizes RJD Rule in Munger, Bihar

  • April 26, 2024, 9:28 p.m.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) during a public meeting in Munger, Bihar, on April 26. He claimed that Munger suffered the most during the “dark era” of “Jungle Raj” under the RJD’s rule.

The Prime Minister accused the Congress and RJD of wanting to “loot” the wealth of the people and distribute it to their “special vote bank.” He contrasted this with the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) model of governance, which he described as one of satisfaction (santushtikaran), as opposed to the Indian National Democratic Alliance’s (INDI) model of appeasement (tushtikaran).

PM Modi emphasized the NDA’s commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind. He highlighted the various facilities provided by his government, including toilets, gas, electricity connections, and water facilities. He also mentioned the provision of free ration and medical treatment to those in need.

“We never asked anyone about the religion or caste of the beneficiaries…anyone who is eligible will get the benefits. This is true secularism and true social justice,” he added.

The Prime Minister’s remarks come at a time when the political landscape in Bihar is witnessing significant changes. His comments are likely to further intensify the political discourse in the state.
