India Rejects China’s Naming of Arunachal Pradesh Locations

Delhi, India - Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has strongly condemned China’s recent actions of assigning names to certain locations in Arunachal Pradesh. “We are very upset and totally reject these kinds of activities by the Chinese Government,” Rijiju stated.

The Indian Government, through the External Affairs Ministry, has responded appropriately to this situation. Rijiju expressed his belief that China is acting out of nervousness. He pointed out that during the time of the Congress Government, these border areas were left underdeveloped, which seemed to please China.

“Chinese were very happy with the Congress Government because Congress had the policy not to develop the border areas,” Rijiju explained. However, the current Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has reversed this policy, leading to significant development in these regions.

Rijiju believes that this shift in policy has made China uncomfortable, leading them to resort to what he termed as “unethical conduct.” He emphasized that India is not the same as it was in 1962, and if provoked, it will respond accordingly.

“Nobody can change our status,” Rijiju affirmed, adding that the Congress party’s statements are only furthering China’s propaganda.

This incident marks another chapter in the ongoing tension between India and China over border disputes. As both nations continue to assert their sovereignty, the international community watches closely, hoping for a peaceful resolution.
