New Delhi - In a significant political development, Hoshyar Singh, one of the three independent MLAs from Himachal Pradesh, has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Singh cited the deteriorating economic condition, law and order issues, and stagnation of developmental work as the primary reasons for his decision.

“We are independent MLAs and we had every right to vote for the candidate whom we wanted in the Rajya Sabha election,” Singh said. He alleges that since the election, the Congress party has been working with a mindset of revenge, even going as far as filing FIRs against the MLAs and their families. “This isn’t good for democracy,” he added.

Singh expressed his concern over the halt in developmental work over the last 15 months, which he believes is a clear indication of the government’s failing health. “The government is on the ventilator, anything can happen at any time,” he warned.

Singh’s decision to join the BJP is seen as a significant shift in the political landscape of Himachal Pradesh. It remains to be seen how this move will impact the dynamics of the state’s politics in the coming days.
