Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday announced the addition of 24 new Arogya Mandirs (health clinics) to the city’s healthcare infrastructure, reaffirming her government’s commitment to making Delhi a “healthy and developed” capital.

“It is a matter of great joy that we are once again dedicating 24 new Arogya Mandirs to Delhi,” said Gupta. “We are committed to providing 1,100 Arogya Mandirs to Delhi by March 2026.”

Outlining the government’s broader vision, the Chief Minister emphasized goals of delivering better healthcare to every citizen and fully digitizing the health system.

So far, she noted, 93 lakh health cards have been created, over 4 lakh people registered under the Ayushman Yojana, and 3 lakh citizens enrolled via the Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card. Importantly, more than 2,000 people have already completed their treatment process under the Ayushman scheme.

“Delhi is continuously moving toward becoming a developed Delhi,” Gupta added, highlighting public health as a core pillar of the city's development model.

The expansion of Arogya Mandirs aims to provide accessible and affordable healthcare at the neighborhood level, a move widely seen as a boost to preventive and primary healthcare in the national capital.
