The Delhi Government has imposed a complete ban on the sale of LPG cylinders directly from godowns, tightening regulations to curb illegal practices like hoarding and black marketing.

Oil Marketing Companies have issued clear instructions to distributors that:

  • Selling LPG cylinders directly from storage points is illegal
  • Violators will face strict action

Push for Greater Accessibility

To improve access, especially for those lacking proper address proof:

  • Availability of 5-kg LPG cylinders has been increased across the city

Help Desks for Migrant Workers

To support migrant workers, 11 help desks have been set up at outlets of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited.

These desks will:

  • Guide people to nearby LPG distributors
  • Assist in obtaining cylinders easily

CM Rekha Gupta Assures Stable Supply

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the government is:

  • Closely monitoring LPG supply
  • Ensuring uninterrupted delivery

She advised residents:

  • Not to visit gas agencies or godowns
  • As cylinders are being delivered directly to homes on time

Strong Delivery Performance

According to official data:

  • Over 1.14 lakh LPG bookings were made since April 4
  • More than 1.31 lakh cylinders delivered, clearing pending orders

The average delivery time currently stands at 4.24 days.
