NEW DELHI - In a recent development, Tejasvi Surya, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), has nominated Abhinav Prakash, the Vice President of BJYM, to participate in a public debate with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

This nomination comes in response to an invitation for a public debate extended to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi by retired Justice Madan B Lokur, Justice Ajit P Shah, and journalist N Ram.

In his nomination, Tejasvi Surya highlighted Abhinav Prakash’s background as a member of the Dalit community, specifically the Pasi caste. The Pasi caste represents a significant portion of the scheduled caste population in Raebareli, the constituency where Rahul Gandhi is currently contesting in the ongoing Lok Sabha election.

This move by the BJYM President is seen as a strategic one, aimed at engaging a representative from the Dalit community in the public discourse. It remains to be seen how this debate will influence the political landscape in Raebareli and beyond.
