BJP’s Syed Zafar Islam Slams Owaisi, Accuses Him of Provoking Muslims

BJP leader Syed Zafar Islam has strongly criticized AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi over his recent remarks targeting Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju. Islam accused Owaisi of engaging in divisive politics and attempting to mislead the Muslim community for political gain.

“Owaisi Ji's politics starts and ends with provoking Muslims,” said Islam. “His entire narrative is based on creating fear and mistrust among Muslims. But the Muslims of this country are now well aware that they are receiving the benefits of the Centre’s schemes and welfare policies without any discrimination.”

Islam highlighted the Modi government’s focus on Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, stating that under this vision, all communities — including minorities — have been included in national development without bias.

The BJP leader further asserted that attempts by leaders like Owaisi to polarize the community are losing impact, as more Muslims are beginning to support development-focused governance over emotional appeals.

“Owaisi’s politics is outdated. People now judge leadership based on performance and delivery, not rhetoric,” Islam added.

The sharp exchange comes amid rising political activity ahead of upcoming elections, with minority welfare once again becoming a key discussion point. While Owaisi has consistently raised concerns about representation and rights, BJP leaders maintain that their policies are inclusive and targeted toward holistic development.
